PDFs have been around since the early 1990s, during the advent of the web and, while most documents on the web are HTML of course, PDFs remain an important means of sharing content via the web - especially since its release an an open standard in 2008. For our 4 year anniversary, we welcome back Raymond Camden, who spoke at our first virtual meetup, to tell us how to manage PDFs on the web like a pro.

Wrangle PDFs on the Web Like a Pro

A look at how to use the free Adobe PDF Embed API makes it easier to use PDFs in your web site. I’ll demonstrate how to use it, the various ways you can control the user interface of the PDF, and how to listen for events so you can track usage and other analytics for PDFs.

Raymond Camden is a Senior Developer Evangelist for Adobe. He works on the Document Services APIs to build powerful (and typically cat-related) PDF demos. He is the author of multiple books on web development and has been actively blogging and presenting for almost twenty years.
