There's so much to unpack this week with a ton of announcements at last week's Jamstack Conf. The theme was "How it started. How it's going", which seemed to be a recognition that the meaning of Jamstack is changing. Matt Biilmann seemed to recognize as much during the keynote when he talked about the original Jamstack manifesto he wrote and looked at how the key elements have stood up (pretty well, actually).
Interestingly, there were no big announcements from Netlify themselves at the event, but there were a ton of other announcements that I'll do my best to breakdown here. There's going to be a lot in this issue, but I promise it's worth your time.

▶ Jamstack Conf 2021 Recordings If you missed the event or were unable to watch due to the technical difficulties (the entire block they were broadcasting from lost power for hours), the full set of videos is already online. In particular, check out the keynote in which Matt discusses some key concepts that will impact the future of Jamstack with folks like Evan You, Rich Harris and more. I also recommend Rich Harris’s “Have Single-Page Apps Ruined the Web?”. I’m not sure I agree with everything he says (or with the name he promotes) but it is definitely thought provoking.
